Your EV Is in Good Hands
With more electric vehicles on Langley roads every year, we get it – handing over a high-tech, high-value EV after a collision is nerve-wracking. Will the shop understand the high-voltage system? The aluminum body? All those cameras and sensors? At Jan’s, the answer is yes. We’ve invested in the training, equipment and certifications to repair EVs properly, so you can stop worrying and get your vehicle back the way it should be.
Why EVs Need Specialized Collision Repair
An electric vehicle is built differently from a gas car, and repairing one safely takes more than a standard body shop:
High-voltage systems have to be handled with the correct safety procedures before any structural work begins.
Aluminum and mixed-material bodies require specific equipment and techniques – you can’t repair them like ordinary steel panels.
Cameras, radar and sensors are everywhere on an EV, and they need proper recalibration after a repair so your driver-assistance features work correctly.
Strict manufacturer repair procedures protect both your safety and your vehicle’s warranty – cutting corners can compromise both.
This is exactly the kind of work we’re set up to do right.
We’re a Tesla-approved collision repair facility and an OEM-certified shop for several manufacturers, and we repair a growing range of electric and hybrid vehicles. Not sure if we work on your make? Give us a quick call – we’ll tell you straight away whether your EV is one we’re set up for.
My SUV went in for a much-needed detail and I was very well taken care of from start to finish. The staff were friendly, professional, and my vehicle was ready right on time. When I picked it up, my SUV looked brand new again! I’m so impressed with the quality of work and attention to detail. I will definitely be using them again for my next detailing service. Highly recommend!

Kind, thorough, fast, and stress-free service! I had my windshield replaced and I didn't have to worry about anything- my vehicle now looks better than it did when I bought it! They also offered shuttle service when the work was being done. The extra mile they go to is rare and I really appreciated it. Thank you so much!!!

I am really glad that I was recommended this shop to do repairs for my claim. Everything was done in a professional, timely manner and the team went above and beyond with their service- my car came back even nicer than before the incident!

And a workmanship guarantee
"ICBC was making it extremely difficult to even get an adjuster to look at the damages. Jan's took my claim number and made it possible to get my car into the shop less than 48 hours after my accident. I had my car back 2 weeks later - unlike the 6–8 weeks ICBC said it would take just to have an adjuster look at it. Their communication was top class and when I got my car back it was just as new as the day I bought it."

What We Do – and What We Don’t
We’re a collision and body shop, so our focus is EV collision repair, structural and body work, paint and refinishing, and auto glass. For battery servicing, motor diagnostics and other drivetrain mechanical work, your dealer or an EV mechanical specialist is the right call – and we’re happy to point you in the right direction. We’d rather be upfront about what we do best than promise everything.
Need a Ride While We Work?
We keep you moving with courtesy vehicles – including EVs – plus rental coordination and a local shuttle. Just ask when you book, and we’ll sort out the details so your days don’t grind to a halt while your car is with us.
Electric Vehicle Repair FAQs
Can a regular body shop safely repair my electric vehicle?
Not every shop is equipped for it – EVs require specific training, equipment and safety procedures. Jan’s is set up for EV collision and body repair, including proper high-voltage handling and in-house sensor recalibration.
Do you repair Teslas and other EV makes?
Yes – we’re a Tesla-approved facility and OEM-certified for several manufacturers, and we repair a growing range of EVs. Call us with your make and we’ll confirm right away.
Will collision repair affect my EV's warranty?
Repairing to manufacturer procedures with the correct parts is exactly what protects your warranty and your vehicle’s integrity – which is how we work.
How do you handle high-voltage battery safety?
We follow manufacturer-specified safety procedures to work safely around the high-voltage system before any structural work begins.
Will my EV need its sensors recalibrated after repair?
Most likely, yes. EVs are packed with cameras and sensors for driver-assistance features, and we recalibrate them in-house so everything works as designed.
Do you service the battery or motor?
Our specialty is collision, body, paint and glass. For battery or drivetrain mechanical service, we’ll point you to the right place.
Do you offer an EV loaner?
We have courtesy vehicles including EVs, plus rental coordination and a shuttle. Ask when you book.
